Mont Ventoux Virtual Rides Turbo Training DVD
Mont Ventoux, the famous and difficult ascent used many times in the Tour De France. The mountain achieved worldwide notoriety when it claimed the life of British cyclist Tom Simpson, who died here on the 13th July 1967 from heat exhaustion. The road to the summit has an average gradient of 7.4%. Starting in Bédoin the climb is easy (3.9% over 5.8km) until Saint-Estève where the 16 remaining kilometres have an average gradient of 8.9%. The last kilometres can be a real energy sapper due to the strong violent winds you get around the summit.
DVD features a dashboard on the top of the screen which shows distance left to climb, current average gradient percentage, suggested RPE intensity and cadence. Dashboard at the bottom shows speed, altitude and current gradient percentage.
1 Hour approx run time, plays on a normal DVD player or a PC. DVD also features workout soundtrack to add to your training enjoyment.

This is a new addition to my growing library of DVDs from success cycling. The DVD is brilliant, quality fantastic and the music is great. Would highly recommend… They do get addictive!!!!

Thank you this is good DVD I hope to cycle this route so great to see it in detail. My only negative is I had hoped it would of been filmed from a bike not the dash of a vehicle. But great otherwise would certainly recommend .

Another great offering. However I would have preferred it if recorded from a bike even at pro speed not from a vehicle. Still anything that keeps me motivated as a 71 year old fitness rider while on the Wattbike in my gym has got to be worth every penny!
