Ride London Virtual Rides Turbo Training DVD
There is no other closed-road event like Ride London, it combines the fun and accessible element of a free family ride in central London, with the excitement of watching the world’s best professional cyclists race in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey Classic, and the Women’s Prudential Ride London Classique which is the richest women’s one-day race in professional cycling.
Amateur cyclists also participate in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 (a 100-mile challenge on the same closed roads as the professionals), with the added incentive of raising money for good causes. Success Cycling were there with our GoPro cameras capturing all the action from inside the sportive to bring you an outstanding virtual ride training experience.
The Ride London Sportive starts from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London, cyclists head past Canary Wharf and through the City of London before cycling west along Piccadilly and the A4 at Hammersmith. Riders first cross the River Thames at Chiswick and pass through Richmond Park and the heart of Kingston-upon-Thames, before crossing Hampton Court Bridge along the route made famous by both the road race and time-trial events during the London 2012 Olympic Games. There’s plenty of stunning Surrey countryside on offer as cyclists head south past Newlands Corner, Abinger Hammer and Holmbury St Mary before tackling the biggest ascent on the route at Leith Hill. After a well-earned descent towards Dorking, it’s onto the next challenge: the world-famous zig-zags of Box Hill. After heading north through Leatherhead, Oxshott and Esher the route takes riders back into London through Kingston and over Putney Bridge to cross the River Thames for a final time. The route then follows the Embankment all the way alongside the Thames, heading past some of London’s most famous landmarks as it makes its way across Parliament Square and up Whitehall. The route then swings left at Trafalgar Square, with riders streaming under Admiralty Arch before a spectacular finish on The Mall.
Approx 1 Hour 49 Minutes run time, plays on a normal DVD player or PC.

I own three Success Cycling DVD’s, Base Building Success 2 & 3 as well as this one. The Ride London one is the best, at two hours long it gives such a good varied workout that will ensure you don’t lose any road fitness over the winter months.

Although not a road cyclist, as a keen keep fitter this DVD provides a great work out, is really motivating and I love it.

Just recently rode “Ride London” and I feel like I’m starting to sound like a broken recording, but I’m telling y’all, these tapes are the best. It’s very difficult to explain their content, but ya can’t teach this stuff!!! It puts me right there in the middle of the race with the music and workout driving me harder than I’ve ever gone before!!! Since only doing the DVDS for only two months my Avg Speed, Avg Cadence and THR have all dramatically creased!!! Simply put, I’m a whole lot faster with putting forth far less effort!!! Even I have a hard time believing it, but it’s the truth!!! These DVD’s are unlike anything you’ve ever seen!!! Trust me and Thank you!!!!

eBay purchase, downloaded rather than wait for the DVD. A fantastic ride through London. Hats off to the cyclist who filmed this on a GoPro! Silky smooth with the perfect amount of intensive training sections and slower sections. A good amount of information onscreen as you cycle and varied scenery, some I recognise! This is the perfect DVD to keep me busy over the colder months. Who needs spinning classes at the gym?
One suggestion: It would be a good idea to have a ‘timer’ onscreen as once you get going there is no way of knowing how long you have been cycling for.

Use this in a class and probably one of the best I’ve used. Everybody loves it and really nice pace to keep you on your toes and interested. Brilliant

Loved it. Great motivator for this 72 year old Fitness Rider for my training sessions on the Wattbike in my gym but as for keeping on the wheel….I can but dream!
